THE VISION
Slowly but surely, the Steiner/ Waldorf initiatives are becoming more known in this region. As more parents seek out Waldorf Education, a deeper understanding inevitably arises. It is through this understanding that parents become confident and enthusiastic thereby forming the expanding ‘network’ necessary for introducing more people to the Waldorf option.
All children in the region need this ‘network’ more than ever. Children are under increasing pressure to acquire early academic skills. Traditional cultural aspects of childhood are rapidly being abandoned. Story telling, seasonal and family rituals, the benefits of play and the extended family are being seen as no use in the modern world. How ironic when now is the time that this wisdom is needed more than ever. Future leaders in the Third World have to be given the opportunity not to lose sight of these realities by following the worn out routes of many first world nations.

When parents and educators alike experience our Waldorf environments, they inevitably sense that this approach to education and child development makes very good sense. Our very existence allows members of the public to have just this sort of experience. To see the well- being of the children, meeting the teachers and most importantly, to resonate with other parent/educators who share similar values and aspirations becomes more and more important. Sadly many parents are simply unaware of options like Waldorf, but by being actively present in the community, we are opening many doors that might otherwise remain closed.
We believe that by growing together with our children, learning from our mistakes and being open to our more experienced well wishers, our efforts will remain dynamic and fruitful to all children (and adults) in this region.
